Huang Guangjing, founder and chairman of CATO Precision Machinery (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., and Li Runze, founder of Dongguan Daifei Garment Co., Ltd., are outstanding examples of Dongguan veterans achieving cross-sector breakthroughs, cultivating intelligent manufacturing, and serving the nation through industry.
Huang Guangjing's life trajectory is a vivid microcosm of the struggle of Dongguan's veterans. He enlisted in the army as a young man, where he forged a rigorous, pragmatic, resilient, and tenacious character, and became the chief conductor of the military band due to his outstanding organizational skills, engraving the concept of "precision and coordination" into his bones. After retiring in 2002, he delved deeply into the machine tool field. In 2006, he led his team to start a business, starting from a workshop of less than 100 square meters, exploring with difficulty in the field of high-end CNC equipment. With the execution ability of a soldier and the foresight of an entrepreneur, he gradually broke foreign technological monopolies.
After more than two decades of dedicated cultivation, under Huang Guangjing's leadership, CATO has achieved fruitful R&D results: successfully conquering core technologies of 5-axis machine tools, launching high-precision machining equipment widely used in high-end fields such as new energy and aerospace; accumulating numerous invention patents, breaking the technological blockade of foreign enterprises in the high-end machine tool field, becoming a backbone force in China's high-end CNC equipment industry. It has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a "Little Giant" company, with products exported overseas, demonstrating the hard power of Intelligent Manufacturing in China.
Huang Guangjing has led CATO to deeply cultivate R&D, overcome difficulties, and achieve numerous remarkable results: In R&D, key technologies such as multi-functional 5-axis vertical compound machining centers and large 5-axis vertical-horizontal machining centers were successfully conquered, with 5-axis machine tool repeatability reaching 0.003 mm. The world's first horizontal three-spindle machining center was developed, improving production efficiency by 80% compared to the industry standard, successfully replacing imported equipment. Products are widely used in new energy, aerospace and other fields, recognized by well-known enterprises such as NIO and Li Auto, and exported overseas. In terms of honors, the company has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a National-Level "Little Giant" Specialized and Sophisticated Enterprise. In 2024, it ranked among the TOP 10 domestic 5-axis machine tool manufacturers. Adhering to the concept of "Chinese Red, CATO Heart," it breaks foreign technological monopolies with solid strength, contributing to the rise of national industry.

The Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Dongguan Municipal Government have always attached great importance to the work of veterans.
